What is a delivery note?

A delivery note - also known as a packing slip, dispatch note, or in India a delivery challan - accompanies a shipment and lists the goods inside it. Unlike an invoice, it normally does not show prices. The recipient checks the goods against the note, signs it to confirm delivery, and the signed copy becomes proof of delivery.

Is a packing slip the same as a delivery note?

They are very similar. A packing slip lists the contents of a package; a delivery note accompanies a delivery and is signed as proof of receipt. This generator works for both - just rename the title under Rename labels.

Can I create a delivery challan for GST?

Yes. Set the title to “Delivery Challan”, add your GSTIN, the consignee’s details and the reason for transport (e.g. job work, supply on approval) as a custom field.
